Corollary — Part II

Latin

Sequitur secundo quod ideæ quas corporum externorum habemus, magis nostri corporis constitutionem quam corporum externorum naturam indicant; quod in appendice partis primæ multis exemplis explicui.

English (Elwes 1883)

It follows, secondly, that the ideas, which we have of external bodies, indicate rather the constitution of our own body than the nature of external bodies. I have amply illustrated this in the Appendix to Part I.

Modern English

It follows, secondly, that the ideas we have of external bodies indicate the constitution of our own body more than the nature of the external bodies — as I explained at length with many examples in the Appendix to Part 1 (E1App).
