Proposition — Part II

English (Elwes 1883)

The modes of any given attribute are caused by God, in so far as he is considered through the attribute of which they are modes, and not in so far as he is considered through any other attribute.

Modern English

The modes of any given attribute have God as their cause only insofar as he is considered through that attribute, the attribute of which they are modes, and not insofar as he is considered through any other attribute.
