Proposition — Part IV

English (Elwes 1883)

Whatsoever brings about the preservation of the proportion of motion and rest, which the parts of the human body mutually possess, is good; contrariwise, whatsoever causes a change in such proportion is bad.

Modern English

Whatever brings about the preservation of the proportion of motion and rest that the parts of the human body maintain relative to one another is good. Whatever causes the parts of the human body to maintain a different proportion of motion and rest relative to one another is bad.
