Latin

Si enim inter se convenire vel in eodem subjecto simul esse possent, posset ergo in eodem subjecto aliquid dari quod ipsum posset destruere, quod (per propositionem præcedentem) est absurdum. Ergo res etc. Q.E.D.

English (Elwes 1883)

If they could agree together or co--exist in the same object, there would then be in the said object something which could destroy it; but this, by the foregoing proposition, is absurd, therefore things, &c. Q.E.D.

Modern English

If two things could agree or coexist in the same subject, then there would be something in that subject capable of destroying it, which is absurd by the preceding proposition (E3P4). Therefore things that are contrary, etc. Q.E.D.
