Hinc sequitur quod mens eo aptior est ad plura adæquate percipiendum quo ejus corpus plura habet cum aliis corporibus communia.

Hence it follows that the mind is fitted to perceive adequately more things, in proportion as its body has more in common with other bodies.

It follows that the mind is the more apt to perceive things adequately, the more its body has in common with other bodies.
